I have a love/hate relationship with Craigslist.
- Local Selling aka No Shipping
- Connections between sellers and buyers without the need to buy new at the store
- How easy it is to list your item and find what you're looking for
- Listings without pictures
Although spam and creepy stalkers are enough to send me over the edge, clicking on an item that doesn't have a picture is almost just as criminal. We are visual people and descriptions just don't cut it anymore.
I seriously won't even click on a link that doesn't have a little “pic” next to it. Unless it's something I'm really searching for that's hard to come by, I don't waste my time and other buyers don't either.
Would you rather read this:
Or see this:
You don't even need a fancy camera to do it. A quick pic on your phone will do just fine.
When people can see before they buy, their way more likely to contact you and set up a time to exchange their money for your goods. You'll sell more, make more (money, that is), and get rid of that junk you've been hanging on o since last year's garage sale.
And who can say no to that?
What do you think of posts without any pictures?
