Personal checks are an evil necessity.
They’re expensive, they take up valuable space in our purse, and they cost us an additional $.45 to send payments through the mail.
But what if we could actually find checks for a good price, AND snag some cute ones while we’re at it? Then maybe it wouldn’t be as painful to pay all those bills…..I know, that’s a stretch.
Thankfully, all it takes is one normally overlooked section of the coupon booklets in Sunday’s paper. You know, the flimsy ad space they fill with gaudy figurines and snuggies?
Usually there is a slip of paper devoted completely to check sales. When you find it, here are some things to look for:
1. Free box incentives
2. Free shipping
3. Online promo codes
If you’re lucky, you might get all three, but either way, it sure beats the check prices at Current and other websites, not to mention your own bank. (Although I have to say, Current has some sweet sales right now on their other items!)
In fact, I compared the prices between Sunday’s ad and a direct-to-consumer site and saved more than 50% by going with the ad.
Don’t get the Sunday paper? Ask a family member or a co-worker. Or go recycle-diving one night. The last one I have never personally done. Ahem.
Because I’m nosy, and love expressing myself with everything, even checks, I want to know what designs you have in your checkbook right now.
Do you prefer classic elegance or fun, cutesy designs?
