There are few things in life that get me all excited – saving money, books, and office supplies are among the top three. Post-it's, notepads, pens, you-name-it, I have a ton of it. (And you can be sure I never resist buying more if I find a good deal.)
So I found myself looking through the Target $1 section (first mistake), and found some really cute coordinating office supplies. I couldn't let it go. I knew I needed to find some way to put these together for a gift…..for someone….anyone!
I added a prettied up cardboard holder, some paper confetti, and a vinyl embellishment to complete the look.
Yep, you can make yourself a pretty sweet gift for under $10.
- Pen $1
- Post-its $1
- Notepad $1
- Container $1
From Uppercase Living:
- Vinyl Embellishments $2-$3 depending on size
From my stash:
- Paper confetti
In addition to the vinyl on the front, I also stuck an extra one in the gift for use elsewhere. These embellishments are sold based on size, and for cute little craft projects, you will most likely spend between $2-$5 at most. Perfect to dress up anything you please!
This DIY gift would be great for:
- Christmas exchanges
- Office parties
- Hostess gifts – I used my creation to give away during one of my Uppercase Living parties as a thank you for hosting.
Next time you see a bunch of discount office supplies, start thinking gift ideas. You're organizational, paper addict friend will be very appreciative!
