I hate throwing away cards, but unless they have a super sentimental message inside them, I can’t justify keeping it. Plus, I avoid piles of clutter that way. (And I hate clutter!)
So, I finally found a way to give those pretty pictures a second run around, without giving me anxiety.
All you have to do is neatly rip the card in half, throw away the right side, and keep the blank left side filed away in your paper drawer.
Next time you have to jot down grocery items or a list of daily to-do’s, you’ll have a sturdy piece of card stock just waiting for ink – and you can enjoy the pretty picture on the front one last time!
It makes me feel so much better now that I have a place to actually use cards I receive in the mail, plus, it’s less post-it notes you have to buy at the store. Ok, maybe I don’t like that part so much.
What’s your strategy for reducing card clutter?

Never thought about this before! Great idea! I usually just chuck them.
